I was left with the standard EA answer "We're working on the issue" If anyone has found a solution that I haven't yet tried, I am open to it. While I waited a year for major bugs to be worked out, and expansions to cover missed game elements. My download, if I ever make it back on, is still stuck on 90%Ĭonclusion: On a Sunday afternoon, after a very long week, my attempts to explore Sims 4 were left sorely unfulfilled.

(Which could be who knows how long) And that was only one side to the issue.

Live Chat requested I "watch" the forums for an update to the issue. Summary: Origins continues to claim I'm "not connected" and there was no time frame for a solution. She passed me off to the "developers" Mind you, she did all in her power to help me, even gave a coupon to use in origins (Ironic, since getting into Origin was the issue we were trying to fix). She ultimately decided that there wasn't anything she could do. After contacting support again, sending screen caps of every step just so she knew the results.

She even had me download and run CCleaner which only accomplished disconnecting us. With Tech Support Live Chat: (spent two hours with the nice lady) Tried everything I'd already done, again, because well we needed to be extra sure. There is no problem connection wise with anything else. I disconnected every other device I own from the internet.(xbox, phone, kindle) still nothing. I tested the connection, restarted, yadda yadda. Somewhere along the lines, Origins dies completely. I removed the cache folder contents (which there were none, I hadn't even played yet.) I fully uninstalled Origins and reinstalled. (which so many sim users have to do with the continuous bugs that have come since Sims 3) I saw, last year (really still an issue) many people were having the same problem. Tried to restart, and still nothing.Īttempted Solutions: I turned to the forums. At first I thought it was trying to launch installation, or finalizing the download, but after an hour it hadn't moved. Problems: The download made it to 99% and stopped.

Had no complications or hiccups up until this point. Logged in, and began downloading Origins. I bought Sims 4 on the online Origins Store. This is the ONLY game (or would have been). The biggest programs are Lightroom and Photoshop, but other than that my memory is nearly full.

OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.1 (If I need to be even more specific, it's a 2013, upgrade iOS not fresh install)Īt the Start: I use my laptop for work mostly. So finally after a year, I decided that I would try out Sims 4, thinking most of the bugs had to be worked out. I was happy to add it on my MAC, and since I don't have a CD drive, I had no choice but to opt or the Origins download. I've grown so tired of using my desktop PC, there have been so many issues related to PC. I was quiet excited to hear that a MAC release was coming for the Sims. I didn't upgrade to Sims 4 when it was first release because the sims games always have bugs at the beginning, and I was happy to play my Sims 3 game, which I stopped updating since the patches would make problems. Second Off: I am creating my own, because Live Chat Tech Support said this was the only way to get an update, and I've tried all the solutions on the forums so far, without luck.īack Story: I've a long term sims fan. First Off: I know other's have made posted threads about this.
